Week 10 - Don't hate the Players... hate the field!
Well, well well... looks like Week 10 was a rinse and repeat of Week 9 when all was said and done. Going into Sunday, no one would have bet on it, though. From what I saw on Sunday, Harman was playing to win and Schauffle and Clark were playing it too safe. And Scheffler did what he does... Scheffler holed out for eagle from the fourth fairway and had four birdies in a five-hole stretch around the turn, sending him to an 8-under 64 and a one-shot victory that wasn’t decided until the final putt. Clark can be disappointed on the miss on 18, but he lost the tournament playing it safe on the drivable par 4 12th imho. Scheffler was already 19 or 20 under at that point and you need to step up and take easy holes when they're offered. Xander showed once again why he's the "best player to never win a major". So, a Scheffler team won... but thankfully NumberMunchers2 didn't take another payout! Congrats to Childahl7 on taking the first $300 of the year.
Diamond in the Rough: Scottie and good ol' Joel Dahmen brought it home for Connor.
Turds: Spieth, Zalatoris and Justin Thomas missed the cut.

Week 11 - Malnati wins 2nd Tourney 9 years later
3058 days. That's the time that elapsed since Peter Malnati last hoisted a PGA Tour trophy. Yet another low budget chump that I owned in the past that did nothing for me! We have had a lot of unlikely or first-time PGA Tour winners this season. Murray, Pavon, Dunlap, Taylor, Eckroat, Malnati, Knapp, Jaegar and Bhatia - INSANE! But I'd say Malnati - who's 36, was the least likely of all of them! And Malnati did it against league darling Cameron Young. I'm starting to have my doubts about Cameron Young... and I was lucky enough to own him his rookie season ;) He shared the lead with Peter Malnati (11-under) with two holes to play Sunday, facing an 18-foot birdie try at the par-3 17th hole. Long story short is he pulled a Xander and Malnati did not.
Congrats to one of my faves in ShooterMcGowan!
Diamond in the Rough: Peter Malnati
Honorable mention: Does anyone have Chandler Phillips? Carl Yuan has been making a lot of cuts this season. Speaking of Xander, he shot great on Sunday to bank.
Turds: Spieth. Burns. Finau. Im. My guys Min Woo Lee, Pendrith and Straka! Coody did us all a favor and withdrew!

Week 12 - Sheffler stunned by Moves like Jaeger
I had interest in the hothead from Argentina (Tosti), so I was watching this closely through the weekend. On Sunday, I expected Scheffler to make quick work of these wannabees - but he missed birdie putts of 11 and 5ft on the last 2 holes to finish 2nd. Scheffler also missed a 2ft putt on 18 on Friday...I mentioned Jaegar at the beginning of the year... yet another guy I owned in the past and got nothing from. But last year he made soo many cuts. And Tosti was golfing so well on Friday and Saturday given the conditions he tried a little too hard on 18 and ended up with a bogey. What a shame. Know what's also a shame? Numbermunchers won another $75 with his other team! Damn you Tyson Wigley!
Diamonds in the Rough: Stephan Jaeger has been doing it since last summer. Raise a glass to Tosti.
Turds: Jason Day and Luke List missed the cut. They were the only 2 in the top 50 FedEx that did. Besides newbie Knapp. COODY MADE A CUT!

Week 13 - You're Welcome
A guy who's had 2 teams every year we've run this league is Jarrod Preisen. A good friend of mine and he's seen success over the years. But he didn't have his eye on Bhatia until I pointed him out! He'll tell you differently, but that chud can thank me for the weekly win.Jarrod, you owe me a beer! What a Sunday duel. McIllroy wasn't even sniffing the podium by the time McCarthy and Bhatia got on 18. I was fuming at Denny McCarthy. He was simply ridiculous. Talk about a guy in the zone. It gets no better than he was on the back nine. Hats off to the young Bhatia as well. Tough to keep it together when you have a guy with nothing to lose and no pressure having the back 9 of his life. Akshay looked like a goner when this went to a playoff. And oh the drama, as Akshay hurt his shoulder! Then... kerplunk... McCarthy puts himself in position to put it on the green from 100yds out completely duffs it... and just like that the magic was gone. He even missed the 12ft putt following...
Diamonds in the Rough: Bhatia and McCarthy - what a show. McIllroy FINALLY shows up and wins Jarrod the money (damn the golf gods who screwed Matsuyama when he shoulda had an eagle - his ball was halfway down on an approach shot)
Turds: Aberg was very sucky on Sunday. Van Rooyen, Cole, Murray, Horschel, English, An, Kim and Ryan Fox all missed the cut. Ryan Fox... what a turd. OWGR #28 to end the year and can't make a cut to save his life. Coody made a cut again... but ended fairly crappy and got beaten by his brother again.
