Pool Rules for RB RotoGolf
Pool Rules for RB RotoGolf 2021: 1. GENERAL: The season starts with the Sentry Tournament of Champions January 7-10 and ends with the BMW Championship (Aug 26-29). Player dollar earnings is your point score for the week. Missed cuts are therefore worth zero points. YOU CAN ONLY PICK A GOLFER ONCE DURING THE SEASON. (NOTE - Bonuses do not count as part of any golfers score - official prize money awarded for finishes in tournaments is how we keep score.) 2. MAKING PICKS: We are on a web-based platform. PICKS WILL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE WEBSITE ONLY. CLICK ON http://fglweb.com/fglpool01i.php?ifid=235 AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. ANY PICKS SUBMITTED THROUGH PHONE OR EMAIL TO THE COMMISSIONER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PRIOR AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMISSIONER. IF, HOWEVER, YOU ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM WITH THE WEB SITE IN MAKING A PICK, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE COMMISSIONER ASAP ( PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE FOR MAKING A PICK). THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING (OR CHANGING) PICKS WILL GENERALLY BE 7 A.M. EASTERN TIME ON THE DAY THAT A TOURNAMENT STARTS. FOR ANY TOURNAMENTS BEING PLAYED IN EUROPE (E.G., BRITISH OPEN), THE DEADLINE WILL BE MIDNIGHT ON THE NIGHT BEFORE PLAY STARTS. FOR THE JANUARY TOURNAMENTS IN HAWAII AND ON THE WEST COAST, A LATER DEADLINE WILL BE ANNOUNCED THAT WEEK. THE WEBSITE WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOCK AT THE DEADLINE AND NO PICKS OR CHANGES TO PICKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE. I strongly suggest that you make a preliminary pick on Monday and then change if you decide. This will avoid last minute oversights and keep you in it. 3. THE WEEKLY FIELD: Each participant is responsible for ensuring that his pick is in the tournament field. Taking a golfer that is not in the field will result in a missed cut and a zero score for that week. IMPORTANT NOTE: The website will list a very large universe of professional golfers but should not be counted on to update the list of players who are participating that week. Therefore, each participant must check the field list (official fields are listed on pgatour.com) to see who is actually playing that week. Remember, if you take a golfer who IS NOT IN THE FIELD, it counts as a pick of that golfer and is your pick for the week, meaning you not only get a score of zero for the week, but also you cannot pick that golfer again. 4. The golfer you select is your pick for the week no matter what - meaning it does not matter whether he does not start the tournament for any reason prior to hitting a shot, or withdraws after starting. If you pick him, it counts as a pick of that golfer and is your pick for the week (again, this means that you cannot pick that golfer in a subsequent event). This is part of the reason why the pick deadline is 7 a.m. All participants are encouraged to check the official field list and tee times on pgatour.com prior to the start of play to ensure that their selection is still listed. Prizes will be awarded for highest total point score for the season. The number of prizes and the percentages will be distributed early in the season. **Note - prizes will be given to roughly the top 10 finishers. Two additional prizes will be awarded for: a. for highest combined $ score for the 4 majors only - Masters, US Open, British Open and PGA. b. for most cuts made during the season (note - any of the circumstances that result in a score of zero, including not making any pick, count as a missed cut, except that if a player makes the cut, and then either withdraws or gets disqualified later in the tournament, it counts as a made cut)
