| | Happy New Year and welcome to Tails FGL 2024. Our season gets underway at the Farmers Insurance Open on January 24, 2024, so look over those groups make your selections and let’s look forward to a great new year. I have added exempt LIV players to one of the Groups to make the wild card picks a little more interesting. Hopefully there will be no more defections to LIV but if there is and its one of your selections that's just bad luck as you will not be able to change that pick.
The cost remains $100 per entry. All earnings will be computed by the website for each of the 30 weeks (34 events) and will count towards our weekly and overall totals. The four weeks that have major championships those earnings and the weekly prizes will be doubled. Also, the weeks that have two events both events will count and earn points.
Distribution of all prizes weekly and overall will occur at the conclusion of the season. Each week the top three teams and ties will be paid and at the end of the season the Top 10 teams will be paid. The past few seasons, the number of entries has dropped about 20 and currently the payouts are: 1st $140, 2nd $75 and 3rd $50. If i do not get to 170 entries I am going to only payout two places each week. $150 for 1st and $75 for second.
It’s very simple to play. Log onto the site fglweb.com and click on Tails FGL or for new participants click on “join now “. The code for our league is: fore. Type in your username and password, if you can’t remember them, please email me at MTaylor924@aol.com and I will provide you with them. Please do not create a new owner profile because you cannot remember the name or password, duplicate entries only add to the confusion.
This is very important for new players. Please complete the form with your name, team name, address and email. Once that step is completed scroll down to the owner management tab and you are ready to get started. At this point you can “make your pics for weeks # 1” and if necessary, change your contact information. Be advised the website tab “make your pics for week #1” in terms of our league means your picks for the entire season. Once the season starts, you will NOT be able to alter your lineup. For groups #1 through #7 select one player, groups# 8 through #10 are wildcard selections and can be any player not listed in the previous groups. All payments are due by February 1, 2024. No exceptions, any entry not paid will be deleted. There are three ways I will except payment: checks via snail mail, PayPal at MTaylor924@aol.com or Venmo at Michael-Taylor934. Checks can be mailed to Michael Taylor 3394 Creekview Drive, Hamburg, NY 14075.
Finally, many of you will use earnings from last year to pay or offset this year’s fees. Please remind me of this when remitting payment. Also include your name and team name with any inquiry you may have, with nearly 170 entries it’s hard to keep track of who’s who at times. Also, be aware that each week an email from the site will update the happenings of the weekend. Adjust your spam folders accordingly if you are not receiving them, this is my only form of communication with the league participants. $5 from each entry will be removed from the prize pot to cover various expenses, i.e., website, bank and postal fees.
